Terms of Service

Effective: August 2, 2026

The short version

Friends Fitness is a small app for competing with people you actually know. Use it kindly, don't post things your group shouldn't see, and remember it's a game — not a doctor. The rest of this page is that same idea, spelled out.

Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using Friends Fitness ("the app", "the service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us.

Who can use it

You need to be at least 13 years old. If the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for a service like this — 16 in parts of the EEA, for example — you have to meet that age instead. The app is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly let them create accounts.

What the service is

Friends Fitness lets you:

The app is still growing. Features can change: we may add, alter, or retire parts of the service as it develops.

Your account

You sign in with Sign in with Apple. Keep your Apple ID secure — anything done from your account is your responsibility, and you agree the information you give us (like your display name) is accurate and not someone else's identity.

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, in the app under Settings → Delete account. It permanently deletes your account and your content and removes you from every group, and it can't be undone. If you'd rather we did it for you, email support@friendsfit.app. What happens to your data is covered in the Privacy Policy.

Your content

The posts, captions, comments, reactions, and taunts you create are yours. You keep them. You give us permission to store your content and show it to the groups and people your sharing settings point at — that's simply how it reaches their feeds — and nothing beyond that. We don't use your content for advertising and we don't sell it.

You're responsible for what you post: share only what you have the right to share, and keep it fit for the friends who'll see it. Content that breaks these terms can be reported from inside the app, and we can remove it or restrict the account behind it.

Reporting someone also blocks them for you — you stop seeing each other's content. You can see who you've blocked, and unblock them, under Blocked in Settings.

Health data

With your permission, the app reads workout and activity data from Apple Health. We read only what you allow, and it's shared only with the groups and people your sharing settings say. You can change or revoke Health access at any time in the iOS Settings app. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

Health data can be wrong — sensors drift, phones sit in lockers, watches miscount. Rankings and duel results are only as good as the data behind them, so treat them as friendly competition, not a measurement of record.

Friends Fitness Plus

Plus is an optional subscription sold through Apple's In-App Purchase, offered as a monthly or an annual auto-renewing subscription. The price depends on your App Store region and is shown to you before you buy. A subscription renews automatically for another period of the same length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current one ends; your Apple ID is charged at confirmation of purchase and again at each renewal.

Manage or cancel Plus in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Because Apple handles the billing, Apple also handles refunds — request one through the App Store. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription that covers it. If we change what Plus includes, we'll tell you before it affects a period you've already paid for.

Apple is not a party to these terms, and is not responsible for the app, its content, or support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and when you accept them Apple has the right to enforce them against you.

Trash talk is a feature here. Harassment isn't. Don't:

Suspension & termination

You can stop whenever you like — leave a group, or delete your account. We can suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk, and where it's reasonable we'll say why first. If we ever wind the service down, we'll give notice with time to get your data out. The parts of these terms that should outlive the account — content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability — do.

Not medical advice

Friends Fitness is a social app, not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical advice. Talk to a doctor or another qualified professional before you start, change, or intensify a training program, especially if you have a health condition. You train at your own risk, and if something hurts you should stop — no leaderboard is worth an injury.

The app is provided as is

We work hard on it, but we can't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every sync lands perfectly. To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost data, or lost profits arising out of your use of the app. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — for most people, nothing. Nothing here limits liability the law says can't be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Some places don't allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We'll update this page when things change and move the date at the top. For material changes, we'll let you know in the app or on this site before they take effect. Continuing to use Friends Fitness after that means you accept the updated terms.
