Coming soon to the App Store

Compete with your favorite people.

Friends Fitness is a private fitness app for the two-to-ten friends who already know each other. Connect Apple Health and your workouts show up where your group can cheer, react, taunt, and duel — never on a public feed, never next to a stranger.

Designed for groups of 2–10, never strangers.

A 30-second tour

Four moments that explain the whole app.

Most fitness apps want to be everyone's. We only want to be yours, and the people you texted about getting the app. Scroll to watch what it actually feels like.

The feed

Your feed is your group, and only your group.

No strangers, no follow-suggestions, no algorithm reordering your friends. Every post is a real workout from someone you handed an invite to, pulled straight from Apple Health. If they ran, you see they ran. If they didn't, the feed is quiet today.

Maya ran 6.2 miles. She wants you to know.

The cheer

One tap. Mean it.

Eight reactions, curated. Fire, lightning, a heart, a trophy, a flex, applause, eyes, the perfect hundred. No emoji menu to scroll through, no GIF picker, no sticker pack. The friction is on purpose — when you tap one, your friend knows you actually saw it.

That's 7 cheers on a Tuesday morning run.

The duel

Pick a friend. Pick a metric. Three days on the clock.

A duel is a head-to-head you start with two taps — most steps, most distance, most exercise minutes, most active calories — over three days, a week, or a month. Every sync moves the score. At the end, the bigger number wins and the loser owes the winner whatever you bet over text.

You won by 1,219 steps. Sam owes coffee.

The leaderboard

Show up. Every week. Top the board.

Start a leaderboard for the whole group — steps, distance, exercise minutes, or active calories. Wipe it every Monday, run it monthly, or let it count forever. Everyone's total on one board, no hiding. Miss a week and the whole group knows.

#2 by 4,102 steps. The board wipes Monday.

What we believe

Three rules we won't break.

01

Only the people you choose.

You start a group by handing a friend a QR code or an invite link, in person or over iMessage. We don't scrape your contacts, surface you to strangers, or run a public profile in your name. There's no follower count, no discovery tab, no algorithm. The only people who can see your data are the friends you actually invited.

02

Built on Apple Health, never on top of it.

Connect once and every workout flows in — runs from your Watch, steps from your iPhone, rides, swims, lifts, whatever you log. No manual logging, no separate account, no third-party tracker required. Your Apple Watch and iPhone do the work; we do the social. If you turn off a metric in Health, it's off in here too.

03

Small groups, big motivation.

Your circle, not a crowd. This is for the running buddies, the gym group, the soccer team's hardest 8. Bigger circles don't make you fitter — your three closest friends watching does. When the group is small, you can't hide a missed week.

FAQ

Things people ask.

Can't find it? Email support@friendsfit.app. We answer same-day.

Strava is a public-ish global network. Anyone can follow you, the feed is full of strangers, and segments push you to compete with people you'll never meet. Friends Fitness is the opposite: no public profile, no discovery, no segments, no strangers. Your feed shows only the people you invited — a group caps at ten — and that's the whole product.
No. Your Apple Health data only flows into a group after both of you have the app installed and both of you have joined that group by invite. Leave the group and nothing more syncs from you, and you can delete any workout you've shared at any time.
Today, Friends Fitness is iPhone-only because we lean hard on Apple Health. Android is on the roadmap — see the question below for honest timing.
Yes — one tap, no friction, no exit interview. The moment you leave, your membership is gone and nothing new syncs from you. Workouts you already shared stay with the group unless you delete them — and deleting your account in the app (Settings → Delete account) removes everything, everywhere.
Never. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and we don't share with third parties beyond what's required to run the app (Supabase, our backend provider). Plus subscriptions pay for everything you see.
No. The iPhone tracks steps, distance, and most workout types on its own. An Apple Watch makes things richer — heart rate on your posts, a route trace on outdoor runs, more workout detail — but it's optional.
Yes — straight from the App Store, no email-us-to-cancel nonsense. You keep Plus features through the end of the billing period and then drop down to Free, with your groups and history intact.
Coming, but probably not in 2026 — iOS gets to feel exceptional first. If you want a nudge when Android lands, email us at support@friendsfit.app and we'll let you know.
